Standardize Your Lighting
In a production environment, standardized lighting conditions are crucial for ensuring quality control. D50 Lighting™ ensures consistent lighting conditions across production facilities, quality control teams and customers.

Daylight Calibrated & Full Spectrum
D50 Lighting™ LED lamps and fixtures are daylight-calibrated to a 5000 K color temperature while boasting a 95 color rendering index (CRI) rating. This indicates that objects illuminated by our lamps appear the same as they would under natural daylight, allowing work to be performed at any time with full confidence in color assessments.

I work in the magazine industry as an image retoucher and it is critical to work within a color calibrated environment with the type of work I do. Viewing printed proofs under these lights while working remotely from home match the light booths that I am normally used to work in at the office perfectly.

As the nation's largest printer, we print over 8000 publications. One smaller title had a color-complaint. Event thought our proofs vs. their cover, didn't match. So our Plant Manager and head of Color-Reproduction flew to NYC to discover they had NOTHING in controlled lighting to examine our product. Just junky office-fluorescents. Retail LED-replacements are a little better, deficient in cyan (needed for Afro-American skin) and red (skin tones, meat, makeup, wines). Without a $6000 color-booth or a $2700 table-top viewing station, we used a D50 lamp in a $2.99 Goodwill tabletop lamp, turned off the overheads, and showed... they matched. We DONATED the lamp (under $20) and bet we'll get no more $2000 trips for nothing. These lamps should be used in every rug-shop, gallery, paint store (perhaps the D65 lamp) and clothing aisle to avoid the mis-matches and returns caused by poor lighting.

I have now installed 16 Waveform color matching tubes in my 16-foot light array for my print viewing wall. I was using Chroma 50 bulbs for the last 40 years because that was the best option until now. I removed the ballasts and wired them at one end.
The results compared to the GE Chroma 50 bulbs in the same fixture is that the Waveform tubes output approximately 50 % more light measured at the wall with a Minolta digital incident exposure meter (0.5 EV greater). This is even though the rated lumens of the LED bulbs is 1800 and the Chroma 50 bulbs is 2250. The color appears a little cooler, but was obvious only after I replaced the bulbs on the left side of the array and compared the light on the wall to the right side.
This was a pleasant surprise and I am happy with the setup.-Michael Wilder

Bought these for our salons. Much brighter and more balanced than the previous lights.

Installed the bulbs in a large 50' overhead viewing area to evaluate color for billboard printing. Bulbs are a near-perfect D50. Way more consistent and longer-lasting than the GTI bulbs used previously. My clients are extremely picky theatrical movie companies and consumer products companies. Our clients love our color viewing setup.

My company manufactures high end loudspeakers. We use these D50 bulbs in our visual inspection stations. They work great for color matching as well as identifying scratches and defects.
